Superfood from Peru: Quinoa

What is it?
Quinoa is a small grain originally from the Andes of Peru. It is known as the "mother of all grains" and has been cultivated for thousands of years.

Why is it healthy?
Quinoa is rich in protein, fiber, iron, magnesium, and antioxidants. It contains all nine essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.

How can we eat it?
You can cook quinoa and eat it in salads, soups, or as a side dish. It is a great substitute for rice or pasta.

Interesting fact:
The Incas considered quinoa a sacred crop and used it as a source of strength for their warriors.

What is it?
